Post Shoot Reflection
1. What challenges did you encounter while trying to get the photos of your first 4 prompts (Square, Metal, Happy,
Bowie)?
I had trouble finding things to take pictures of for square. I ended up finding a floor with squares which worked perfectly. I also couldn't really find anything that made me happy (probably because we are at school) but I then had Amy and Ella laugh to give me a perfect happy picture. I thought Bowie was pretty easy because we are at Bowie and there are plenty of things that I could take a picture of for that one. I also didn't have trouble on metal because there are many things made of metal at Bowie.
2. What technical aspects of photography or the assignment in general (focus, framing, holding the camera, etc.) did you find yourself thinking about the most? Provide a specific example of what you did to do this correctly.
I found thinking a lot about if my picture was in focus or not. I feel like if my pictures aren't in focus then it is hard to tell the focal point in the photo. In the picture of the lockers that I took, I made sure to have the lockers in focus and the background out of focus to show that the lockers were the main point in the photo.
3. If you could do the assignment again, what would you do differently now that you know some basic rules of photography?
If I could do the assignment again, I would use more of the rules of photography in my pictures. For example, in my "happy" picture I would put Amy and Ella off to the side a little bit to show the rule of thirds as opposed to having them center. I would also try to get a better picture of the "square" floor because it's pretty plain. Maybe I could have something off to the side or in the middle that could stand out from the floor.
4. What things would you do the same?
I would probably take pictures of all the same things because I think they all worked well with the topics. I think I would keep my locker picture the same because it was in really good focus.I would probably keep the Bowie picture and just adjust the other pictures by using some of the rules of photography.
5. Finally - go back and edit your blogs with the 4 photos (square, metal, happy, Bowie), tell me what rules of composition (which you just learned about) did you end up actually achieving? Did you have any?
(answers shown on Prompt shoot 1 post)
6. Are you interested in shooting those same prompts again, why?
I would shoot these prompts again because I think there are many things I can chose to take pictures of for this prompt. I also think my photos would turn out better next time if I used the rules of photography that we learned.

I really like the way she had a clear focus on each of the pictures. I also liked how she went outside of the box with the "square" image.
I think on the picture of Katherine she could have had less stuff going on in the background to show simplicity.
