My Opinions Story
Countries cause pollution everyday. Whether people are polluting the Earth by running factories that release harmful toxins, or they are littering, it is bad for the environment. Pollution is dangerous not only to humans but animals whose environments are ruined. According to CBS News almost half of U.S. citizens live in dangerous conditions containing pollution.
I think that we should try to stop or reduce the amount of pollution released into the air and the environment. Factories are one of the biggest sources of pollution. They cause many harmful things to be released into the air we breathe in. When people litter it causes the environment around us to be affected and many animals. We should be able to lessen the amount of factories and litter spread around the U.S. and the world.
Litter is very dangerous to animals all over but mostly in the ocean. When trash is left unattended it can blow away and eventually it will end up in some sort of body of water. Creatures living in the ocean or other bodies of water can get stuck in the litter or eat it. Sea turtles are a great example of this. When they see a piece of trash such as a clear bag, or a soda bottle they tend to think that it is either a jellyfish or other animal that they like to eat.
Pollution is not only dangerous to animals but also humans. When pollution is released in the air it can affect the way we breathe. Many countries feel unsafe when they go outside. Some even wear masks to prevent toxins in the air being brought into their lung systems. People should not have to worry about if the air is going to be clean when they go outside.
Some people on the other side of this argument could argue that using factories that cause pollution, are very efficient and make production of products go fast. If factories were not able to be used it would take a really long time to create certain products.
Another reason people may argue this topic is that some people may claim there are no trash cans located around them so they just leave their trash outside. Some locations don't have many trash cans so people use it as an excuse to just leave trash lying around.
Though these are valid reasons, they can be reduced or avoided to make the environment a safer place. In the end, I think people should try not to litter and find a trash can even if they have to go somewhere else. I also think that factories should try to find ways to reduce the amount of pollution that is released into the air.
