Warm-up 1. At the beginning I felt happy seeing the couple come together and be happy. As the pictures went on I became sad and started to feel the emotions that the husband must of felt and captured in the images. 2. I think this comment showed that the pictures were showing their life every step of the way as they felt they saw it. He wanted to capture each moment so that he could look back on them and remember his journey with her from beginning to end. 3. 1) This picture caught my eye because you can feel movement in the river. I like how the photographer included many different aspects in the photo. 2) I see the mountains in the background with the clouds hovering above them. I also see the river flowing throughout the picture. The sun is hiding within the clouds in the background.  I smell the fumes from the forest of trees nearby. I smell the fresh water as it flows to the ocean. The fresh smell of flowers enters my nose.  I hear the birds and owls hiding in the forest. I hear the water hit the land nearby. The buzz of bugs flying around my face catches my ear.  I taste the humidity from the clouds above me. As the water flows below my mouth waters for some fresh water. I also like how he used the rule of thirds in the third photo by adjusting the subject to the top of the photo. I think that he could of had a better focus on his pictures to make the subject more clear. He could also make the lighting better in the second photo.

1. Some challenges I faced getting photos for this shoot were whenever I tried to take a picture of students working on classwork they would always look at the camera. Some people moved a lot and waved at the camera which made it hard to get a good focused shot. I also felt weird getting close to people to get a focused picture. 2. I found myself thinking a lot about getting a good focused picture. I also tried to make sure the student that I was trying to capture was doing something academic and being productive so I didn't just have a picture of someone sitting at a desk doing nothing. To make the pictures focused I would focus the camera on the subject for a few seconds to make sure it looked good. 3. If I had to do this assignment again I would get closer to the subjects so that I could get a clearer and more focused picture. A) Some main points I read about in the article are photoshop and photo manipulating pictures. Many photographer's made people in their pictures look skinnier or have a different tone of skin so that they were considered more "attractive". B) The philosophy of newspapers by the Washington post and the New York Times in photo manipulation is to make the pictures more appealing. Sometimes they may put other people's heads on celebrities to make the actor look thinner or more attractive. Newspapers may also combine two pictures to make everyone in the picture look up to their standards. Sometimes newspapers will also photoshop models so that they don't have as many "flaws". C) I think it is acceptable to take two photos and merge them together to make a better picture because then you can have actual pictures that you took and have the events be accurate.
